Kristina Bangert (born 1972) has been working as an artist since the early 1990s. Her practice began in the performing arts, encompassing acting for stage and camera as well as directing theatrical productions and video formats. Alongside this work, fine art has consistently accompanied her creative process — through caricatures of developed characters and the design of visual motifs and posters for the performance companies she collaborated with.

Since 2020, Bangert has increasingly focused on painting and sculpture, which today form the core of her artistic practice. Her works are inspired by nature and by subtle shifts of light, color, and atmosphere. Drawing from the sensations of freedom and vastness experienced while traveling or contemplating open landscapes, she translates these impressions into a distinctive visual language.
